Short answer: No, you cannot buy 50 Instagram shares: 50 is below the form minimum of 100 (₹17 per 1,000), and at the moment checkout needs at least ₹7 per order. The smallest order that goes through is 383 shares for ₹7, and a clean test pack is 500 shares for ₹9. Check the shares number in Insights before and after.
Can you buy exactly 50 Instagram shares?
No. The order form's minimum for shares is 100, so a pack of exactly 50 cannot be placed. At ₹17 per 1,000, 50 shares would work out to 85 paise. There is a second limit as well: at the moment the payment step needs at least ₹7 per order. That makes 383 shares the smallest order that goes through, because 383 is the first quantity whose total rounds up to ₹7. If you typed buy 50 Instagram shares into Google, the closest real orders are 383 shares for ₹7 and a clean 500 pack for ₹9. You can see the form minimum on the Instagram shares service page.
People search for a small number like 50 or 20 because they want to test before they spend. That is a sensible instinct, and a ₹9 order serves it fully. The only change is that your test uses 500 shares instead of 50, so any movement in your numbers is easier to spot. The ₹7 floor belongs to the payment step at the moment, not to the share rate, which stays at ₹17 per 1,000. Whether you want to buy 50 Instagram shares or 5,000, the wider price list sits on the pricing page.
One note on the word itself. This page is about shares of your own posts and Reels, the paper-plane action. It has nothing to do with Instagram's company stock or share price.
What is an Instagram share, and is it public?
An Instagram share is the act of sending a post or Reel to someone else with the paper-plane icon. Tapping the icon opens a Send To screen where you pick friends or a group, and a separate option adds the Reel to your Story (ContentStudio). Meta also lists shares as a metric for posts, stories, reels, videos and live videos (Meta developer documentation).
Is a share public? A share sent to a friend or group goes into a direct message, and ContentStudio describes that route as a more private way to reach specific people. A share to your Story is different: Instagram offers “Your Story” or Close Friends as the two places to post it. A share is also not a repost; our guide on reposts versus shares explains the difference.
Shares matter to creators because Instagram says they matter. In January 2025 Instagram head Adam Mosseri named watch time, likes and sends as the top ranking signals, and said sends carry more weight for content shown to people who do not follow you (Social Media Today). Sends is the word for shares made in a message.
That signal belongs to people who choose to send your Reel to someone. A bought share lifts a counter; it is not a person choosing your Reel, and nobody outside Instagram can tell you what it does to ranking. Keep that in mind for every section below.
What is the smallest shares order, and what do bigger packs cost?
The rate is ₹17 per 1,000 shares. The order form multiplies your quantity by that rate and rounds to the nearest rupee, and the payment step needs ₹7 or more per order at the moment, so the table lists the packs that go through plus the form minimum for reference. Our longer note on Instagram shares price in India goes through the same rate in detail.
Look at the 383 row: 383 divided by 1,000 and multiplied by 17 is 6.511, which rounds to ₹7, the least checkout takes at the moment. Look at the 500 row too: 500 shares cost ₹9, not ₹8, because 8.5 rounds up. Every row comes from one sum, shares divided by 1,000 and multiplied by 17, so you can check any quantity on a calculator before you pay.
| Shares | Price at checkout | Where it fits |
|---|---|---|
| 50 | Below the form minimum, cannot be ordered | Not available |
| 100 (form minimum) | Under ₹7, so checkout cannot take it at the moment | Not available at the moment |
| 383 | ₹7 | Smallest order that goes through today |
| 500 | ₹9 | First test on one Reel |
| 750 | ₹13 | Second test, or a Reel with more views |
| 1,000 | ₹17 | One large order for one post |
| 2,500 | ₹43 | Only for a post with very large views |
| 5,000 | ₹85 | Rarely makes sense at this size |
How does the price of a share compare with a like, a view or a save?
A share is one of the cheapest actions on the rate card. One share costs 1.7 paise, the same as one Reel view. A like costs almost five times as much, a save almost 25 times as much and a repost about 44 times as much.
Cheap does not mean it fits every post. Reels that people send to friends are the natural home for shares, and saves suit tutorials and checklists. Our comparison of shares, saves and likes helps you decide which action your post actually earns, and the likes service page lists the like rate in full.
| Action | Price per 1,000 | Form minimum | Smallest order at checkout |
|---|---|---|---|
| Share | ₹17 | 100 | 383 = ₹7 |
| Reel view | ₹17 | 100 | 383 = ₹7 |
| Like | ₹84 | 100 | 100 = ₹8 |
| Save | ₹420 | 50 | 50 = ₹21 |
| Repost | ₹750 | 10 | 10 = ₹8 |
How do you test 500 shares on one Reel?
Run the test on one public Reel that is at least a few days old, so its own numbers have settled. Do not run any other promotion on that Reel during the test, or you will not know which one moved the counter.
Day 0, before paying. Open the Reel, tap View Insights and take a screenshot of the shares number and the views number. If your app shows no shares figure for the Reel, you have no way to check the order yourself, so wait until it does. Meta documents shares as an available metric, but what your own account displays is what counts.
Day 0, the order. Paste the public link of the Reel, set the quantity to 500 and pay ₹9. Keep the order ID next to your screenshot.
Day 1. Open the same Insights screen. Delivery starts within minutes, is spread out over hours (drip-fed) and finishes within 0 to 24 hours, so by now the shares number is up by about 500. If it has not moved at all, email support@instaboostpanel.com with the order ID.
Day 7. Check once more and judge the test by one question: did the number you paid for arrive and stay? Do not judge it by whether views jumped. The delivery-check guide for shares, saves and reposts covers what to do when the numbers disagree.
| When | What to write down | Where to look |
|---|---|---|
| Day 0, before paying | Shares number, views number, time of the screenshot | Reel → View Insights |
| Day 0, after paying | Order ID and the ₹9 you paid | Payment confirmation |
| Day 1, 24 hours later | Shares number again | The same Insights screen |
| Day 7 | Shares and views, and whether the shares number held | The same Insights screen |
| If the number did not move | Time since the order, account public or private, link used | Then email support@instaboostpanel.com |

How do you get more Instagram shares without paying?
Shares come from content that makes someone think of a specific person. A Reel that says “this is exactly what happens in a hostel”, a price tip a relative needs or a recipe a friend asked for travels better than a general clip. This is our advice, not a measured result from a study.
Say what you want in the Reel itself. A short line near the end such as “send this to the friend who always forgets” gives people a reason to tap the paper plane. Then watch the figure Mosseri told creators to follow, sends per reach, in your Insights (Social Media Today).
Keep a note of which Reels earn sends and repeat the idea, not the clip. The topic hub for likes, shares and reposts collects our guides on all three, and the page on buying Reel shares in India covers the paid route in more detail.
What does a bought share not do?
A bought share has three limits. First, it is a number on a counter: a bought share does not comment, follow, watch your next Reel or buy from you, and no seller can promise Explore placement, because no seller controls what Instagram recommends.
Second, buying shares is against Instagram's rules. Meta's spam policy lists buying or exchanging engagement such as likes, shares and views as spam (Meta Transparency Center). A 500-share order is small, but small does not mean allowed, and Instagram can act on any account.
Third, shares cannot fix a Reel that few people open. If views are the weak spot, the right tool is a views order: Reel views cost ₹17 per 1,000 with a form minimum of 100, the smallest views order that goes through at checkout today is 383 for ₹7, and the Reel views service page shows the order form. Our Reel views booster guide explains the three meanings of that phrase.
What happens after you order, and who is a 500-share test for?
You give the public link of the post and pay at checkout with UPI, Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, a card or NetBanking. There is no signup and no Instagram password, and nobody asks you to log in. A private account cannot receive shares, so switch the account to public before the order and leave it public until delivery ends. Our UPI guide for shares, saves and reposts lists the payment steps.
Anyone who planned to buy 50 Instagram shares as a trial is the person this test suits: a creator or small shop with a good Reel that is getting little traction, and anyone who wants to see how delivery works for ₹9 before trusting a seller. To compare sellers on the same footing, use the checks in our guide to the best site to buy Instagram shares.
It does not suit you if you want Explore reach promised, if your account is private or if the Reel itself is weak. Shares work best next to a Reel people already like, and a combined plan with reposts is covered in buying shares and reposts together.
If the 500 pack arrives and holds, scale in steps and keep the shares number well below the Reel's views. A Reel with 800 views and 5,000 shares looks wrong to anyone who checks, so grow the order only as the Reel itself grows.
